There’s a new trend in tattoos taking the country by storm…the neck tattoo. What are people thinking when they decide to intentionally disfigure themselves in such a visible area of the body? I’d have to say they aren’t thinking. It’s one thing to get a small tat in an obscure part of the body that can easily be covered for those occasions where ink glaring back at everyone isn’t appropriate, but neck tattoos? A neck tattoo is nothing more than a epidermis billboard screaming “look at me, I’m an idiot”! Kinda like this one:

Neck tattoos - over the top?
Yeah, I get it….you want to be different or original….you want to push the envelope by going where no one has gone before. You want to be a rebel. But if everyone is doing it, you aren’t a rebel, you’re a follower. And not a very bright one either. If you were, you wouldn’t embarrass your mother by getting a ridiculous looking neck tattoo. Respect your parents, and a little self-respect wouldn’t hurt either.
Neck tattoos are a bad idea(heck, all tats are, imho), but if you insist on getting one, and I know you will, you rebel you, for goodness sake, don’t get a neck tattoo that sucks….and believe me, a LOT of them do. Not all neck tattoos are created equal. Nothing says loser more than a neck tattoo that looks like a cat on crack designed it. Do your research beforehand and find a cool, semi-unique design that you don’t see everywhere you look. I recommend you start here, or here. They have several cool designs there to choose from. I even saw a few I would go for, if I were interested in being a neck tattooed loser. I’m not, but if you are, I think you’ll like what they have.
